British Airways appoints new IAG finance boss

British Airways owner International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG) announced on Monday that finance chief, Steve Gunning will be replacing Enrique Dupuy de Lôme.

de Lôme has been a veteran for the company and is stepping down after being chief financial officer for over eight years.

Gunning has been British Airways CFO since January 2016 is to takeover de Lôme’s position at the IAG annual general meeting in June.

de Lôme said, “After eight years as CFO of IAG and prior to that, 20-years as CFO of Iberia, I believe now is the right time for me to leave IAG.”

IAG share price were up 1.1% at 548.4p after the announcement.
