Biden warns the world is at risk of nuclear ‘Armageddon’ as ‘we have a direct threat to the use of nuclear weapons’

The world is on the brink of “Armageddon” because for the first time since the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962 “we have a direct threat to the use of nuclear weapons” from Vladimir Putin, the US President Joe Biden has warned.

Biden warned that Putin is not joking to use “tactical nuclear weapons” because the Russian Army are “significantly under performing” in the battlefields of Ukraine.

President Biden made is very clear that he and his officials are keeping a eye on Putin’s next possible moves in the Ukraine, Crimea and the Black Sea.

In 1962 the world came dangerously close to a nuclear war as the then Russian President Nikita Khrushchev and President Kennedy came to blows because Soviet Union nuclear missiles were stationed in Cuba.

Around ‘15,000 Russia troops’ could ‘essentially be forced to surrender’ which will ‘be a strategic defeat for Russians in the south’

The US President warned, “For the first time since the Cuban Missile Crisis, we have a direct threat to the use of nuclear weapons, if in fact things continue down the path they’d been going.”

He added, “We have not faced the prospect of Armageddon since Kennedy and the Cuban missile crisis.

“[Putin is] not joking when he talks about potential use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons, because his military is, you might say, is significantly underperforming.

“I don’t think there’s any such thing as the ability to easily (use) a tactical nuclear weapon and not end up with Armageddon.”

President Biden said that they are looking at ways to resolve the ongoing situation through diplomatic channels to deescalte the looming crisis.

He said, “We’re trying to figure out what is Putin’s off-ramp…Where does he find a way out?

“Where does he find himself in a position he does not, not only lose face but lose significant power in Russia.”

Former CIA Chief and retired US Army General David Petraeus said that NATO has the ability to destroy Russian military equipment inside Ukraine.

The former CIA Chief told ABC News, “Just to give you a hypothetical, we would respond by leading a NATO – a collective – effort that would take out every Russian conventional force that we can see and identify on the battlefield in Ukraine and also in Crimea and every ship in the Black Sea.”

Russia need “preemptive strikes” so that they will know exactly “what awaits them if they use nuclear weapons,” it must not be “the other way around,” the Ukrainian President has said.

Speaking via video link at Australia’s think tank, the Lowy Institute, he said, “Preemptive strikes are needed so that they know what awaits them if they use nuclear weapons. Not the other way around, waiting for Russia’s nuclear strikes and then saying, ‘oh, you’ve done that, then get this.”

NATO, Zelensky said, “should reconsider how it uses its pressure.”
