Research from Ezra, one of the leading global providers of digital coaching, has revealed which nations have been working the hardest on their personal and professional progression during 2020.

Ezra analysed its global database to reveal how the average number of completed coaching sessions across its platform differed around the world, and which nation has been putting in the most work since January.

The figures show that New Zealand has been the hardest working with those using the Ezra coaching platform clocking an average of 9.2 sessions since January.

Those in Hong Kong have also used the restrictions posed by the pandemic to work hard on their personal and professional progression, with the average person racking up 9.1 completed coaching sessions.

Taiwan (8.9), Canada (7.1) and Singapore (6.8) also rank in the top five nations where the number of personal completed coaching sessions are concerned.

The rest of the top 10 is made up of India, the Netherlands, the UK, China and France, while Germany completes the table with just 3.4 sessions completed by the average person since the start of the year.

Founder of Ezra, Nick Goldberg said, “The pandemic and the various lockdown restrictions it has brought with it has resulted in many of us being left with some additional time on our hands.

This has been largely welcomed, at the very least, as an opportunity to spend more time with our immediate families and as an opportunity to work on some personal progression.

Many will have taken the chance to improve or progress, whether it be career-related, health orientated or simply trying to build on a personal skill or hobby that we might have.

However, while many of us have attempted this personal progression, maintain motivation and ensuring improvement from week to week is tough without someone to hold us accountable. We’ve seen many of those using the Ezra app exceed their lockdown targets simply due to the weekly interaction and planning that comes with communicating with their personal coach.

While those in New Zealand rank top in terms of their pandemic productivity on the Ezra app, all of our users have been able to continue with their personal and professional coaching regardless of where they are in the world and what restrictions have been imposed.

As a result, they’re continuously building on what they have already achieved and are ready to hit the ground running when life returns to some form of post-pandemic normality both socially and in terms of returning to the workplace.”
