Wetherspoons has announced that they will create around 10,000 new jobs as the company will open new pubs and hotels across the UK in a £200m investment.

Wetherspoons founder and chairman Tim Martin has announced this £200m investment will help to expand across the UK and the Republic of Ireland over the next four years.

Martin said, “We are looking forward to opening many more new pubs as well as investing in existing pubs over the next four years.

“We are especially pleased that a large proportion of the investment will be in smaller towns and cities which have seen a decline in investment in recent years.

“The fact that we will be creating approximately 10,000 jobs is great news too.”

Wetherspoons currently employs 44,000 staff owns 58 hotels and operates 875 pubs. After Brexit Martin has said he will be lowering beer prices once the UK has left the EU.
