The US has imposed fresh sanctions on two Russians– one Russian company and one Slovakian firm– for targeting malicious cyber-related activities.
The US Treasury said in a statement on its website today that the sanctioned firms — Saint Petersburg-based Vela-Marine Ltd and Slovakia-based Lacno S.R.O. — and the two individuals were linked to Divetechnoservices, a previously sanctioned entity.
“Today’s action against these deceptive actors is critical to ensure that the public is aware of the tactics undertaken by designated parties and that these actors remain blocked from the US financial system,” US Treasury Secretary, Steven Mnuchin told media.
