A senior Tory MP has warned that we are Russia is moving to use “weapons of mass destruction” as Vladimir Putin “always escalates out of a crisis.”
Another Tory MP has warned that the UK “underestimates” Putin using tactical nuclear weapons and the “whole world” should be very concerned.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that “Russia detonated a bomb of mass ecological destruction” and Moscow is “guilty of brutal ecocide” in blowing up the Nova Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant (HPP).
Tobias Ellwood, the chair of the UK Parliament’s defence select committee told Times Radio, “We’re moving into Russia using, creating, weapons of mass destruction which could have a devastating scale on a humanitarian perspective.”

Ellwood said the West has to be willing to step in to prevent “a massive, large-scale disaster which could easily bleed out well beyond Ukrainian itself.”
Ellwood added, “We cannot be bystanders while watching Putin destroy this critical national infrastructure.
“And I do hope the powers that be, the international community, is looking very carefully at this, because we cannot dismiss Putin’s desire to wreak havoc.”
Speaking to The Time Oleksiy Danilov, the top security official to Ukraine’s president Zelensky warned that the “whole world” needs to be concerned Russian troops said that Europe’s largest nuclear power plant is rigged with explosives and that Putin is “ready to do anything.”
Tory MP Bob Seely, warned that the UK “underestimates” Putin and that he is prepared to use tactical nuclear weapons.
He told GB News that the Russian leader “always escalates out of a crisis,” then said that he most likely will not use nuclear weapons.
