Some of the world’s most elite fighting units are on standby to locate Israeli hostages in Gaza and to hunt down Hamas terrorists.
The US has their special forces on standby in a nearby European country to help Israel, two senior military officials told The Messenger.
The military officials did specifically say which units are on standby, but they did say they came under the Joint Special Operations Command and the main units are Seal Team Six and Delta Force.
The US has already sent in negotiators to help Israelis with the 20 US citizens which are missing following the Hamas attacks on Saturday which has left more than 1,200 people dead.

Gen. Michael ‘Erik’ Kurilla, who oversees US Central Command said, “The arrival of these highly capable forces to the region is a strong signal of deterrence should any actor hostile to Israel consider trying to take advantage of this situation.”
On Sunday the US sent an aircraft carrier group with thousands of troops to the eastern Mediterranean Sea in response to the deadly attack by Hamas which started on Saturday.
The US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered US military ships, an aircraft carriers and additional aircraft carriers to move closer to Gaza and Israel.
Austin said, Today, in response to this Hamas attack on Israel, and following detailed discussions with President Biden, I have directed several steps to strengthen Department of Defense posture in the region to bolster regional deterrence efforts.”
A senior defense official said the carrier strike group can conduct “a full spectrum of missions, from intelligence collection, maritime dominance, to long-range strike, will ensure the United States is postured to respond to any contingencies and minimize the risk of a wider spread conflict that would threaten stability.”
The official said, “These posture increases were intended to serve as an unequivocal demonstration indeed and not only in words of US support for Israel’s defense and serve as a deterrent signal to Iran, Lebanese Hezbollah, and any other proxy across the region who might be considering exploiting the current situation to escalate the conflict.
“Those adversaries should think twice.”
