Ryanair forecasts a ‘very strong recovery’ for short-haul flights in to Europe

Rayanir’s chief executive Michael O’Leary predicts there will be a “very strong recovery” for European short-haul flights.

In August he budget airline had 11.1m passengers which amounts to 75% Ryanair carried in the same period in 2019. Ryanair flew 9.3m passengers in July which is 63% of pre-pandemic level.

The budget airline said that they have beaten their estimated target of carrying 10m passengers this year following the government’s relaxation of travel restrictions for the summer holidays.
