Russia constantly ‘blackmails humanity with nuclear weapons’ and the ‘world’s security system will change’

Ukraine has spoken out against the Kremlin’s weekly rhetoric of “blackmailing humanity” with nuclear weapons saying that Moscow cannot be allowed to be part of the global nuclear deterrence system moving forwards.

Dmitry Medvedev warned the West with a “nuclear apocalypse” if they continue to provide Kyiv with more weapons on Thursday.

Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the head of the President’s Office said that it is a matter for a special tribunal to not allow Russia to be part of the deterrence system.

Podoliak said, “The appropriateness of leaving the second nuclear potential in Russia after the war is a matter for the future special tribunal and negotiations.

“The world security system will change. A state and regime that blackmails humanity with nuclear weapons can’t be part of a deterrence system.

The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Medvedev warned that the Kremlin’s Western counterparts have not previously seen the full “degree of Moscow’s determination.”

He said, “Has the threat of a nuclear conflict passed? No, it has not passed. It has increased.

“Each day when foreign weapons are delivered to Ukraine ultimately brings this same nuclear apocalypse closer.”

On Wednesday the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov issued a chilling warning that the prospect of a nuclear conflict is now at its “highest level in decades.”

The Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu warned the UK over sending more ammunition saying, there are “fewer and fewer steps” to a nuclear strike.

The Russian Foreign Minister Sergie Lavrov warned the UK sending “depleted uranium” tanks shells to Ukraine has now brought the conflict to “new and dangerous levels.”

Putin said that Moscow will be “forced to respond” if the UK provides Ukraine with more depleted uranium tank shells, and Britain will be sending more.
