The US has authorized the use of the British Storm Shadow long-range cruise missiles to be used to strike “legitimate” military targets deep inside Russia.

The Times newspaper reports that Sir Keir Starmer the British Prime Minister keeps avoiding granting Kyiv permission to use the missiles to strike Russia.

Starmer who has been accused many times of dithering has said he refuses to go into the “operational details.”

A British Foreign Office source told The Times President Joe Biden made the decision to allow Kyiv to use the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) and Storm Shadow missiles because North Korean soldiers are now involved in the war against Ukraine, which has been seen as serious escalation.

Downing Street advisors have said there is operational reasons as to why the British government must be very careful with what they say in order to not provide Vladimir Putin with any advantages.

The Prime Minister’s advisors and allies also believe the use of the Storm Shadow missiles will not make a jot of difference in the war and will also make Russia turn even more aggressive to the UK.

Putin’s spy chief has warned there will be “punishment” for the West and there will be disastrous consequences for America as President Biden allowed Ukraine to launch long-range ATACMS missiles inside Russia on Tuesday.

Sergei Naryshkin, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, told National Defence magazine warned that Moscow will not allow NATO allies to “go unpunished” for Western missile attack on Russia on Tuesday.

The spy chief warned, “Attempts by individual NATO allies to participate in providing for possible long-range strikes with Western weapons deep into Russian territory will not go unpunished.”

He added that Western leaders are now starting to become more aware of “the seriousness of Russia’s intentions.”
