Vladimir Putin has received a blunt warning from the Baltics and NATO allies: any attack on Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania will trigger strikes deep inside Russia.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna delivered the chilling six-word ultimatum:
“We’ll bring the war to Russia.”
Speaking to The Telegraph on at the Munich Security Conference, Tsahkna made it clear the Baltic states are arming for a rapid, devastating response:
“We know exactly what to do. That’s why we are speeding up investments and developing our capabilities. It’s why we are investing 5% of GDP on defence in our region.”
NATO allies have also warned Moscow, the US Secretary of Defense, said, “Any aggression against a NATO ally is an attack on all of us. Moscow must understand: their missiles will meet our missiles — and our resolve is iron.”
The German Defence Minister warned, “We are ready to defend every inch of NATO territory. Let there be no doubt: attempts to invade will be met with overwhelming force.”
The Finnish Defence Chief, “The Baltics are not alone. If Russia steps over the line, NATO will strike decisively — deep into Russian territory if necessary.”
Norwegian Commander, High North said, “Our forces are trained, equipped, and battle-ready. Any attack will be countered immediately — and with maximum precision.”
And the UK Defence Secretary John Healey said, “We will not hesitate. The Baltic states are sovereign, and any aggression will bring consequences Russia cannot ignore.”
