The Polish deputy Prime Minister has said President Volodymyr Zelensky is wanting “to drag Poland into war with Russia” by asking they shoot down missiles over Ukraine.
During an interview with Radio ZET Krzysztof Gawkowski warned that Poland would enter into war with Russia if they were to shoot down Russian missiles.
Gawkowski said, “Zelensky wants Poland to shoot missiles over Ukraine, which means he wants Poland to enter the war, which means he wants Poland to be at war with Russia.
“By these statements, Zelensky wants to drag Poland into the war with Russia.”
President Zelensky criticised Warsaw for not delivering the MiG-29 fighter jets promised and he has “constantly asked” Poland to shoot down Russia missiles which are heading towards Poland.
“I feel that the last words that came from President Zelensky are unworthy of a politician who owes Poland a lot,” Gawkowski said.
“The equipment that was transferred, the citizens who were taken care of… Poland is a great friend of Ukraine, a transport hub. It seemed to me that in such situations, you say ‘thank you’.”
