NASAMS systems deployed ‘on combat duty’ and kill over 500 troops

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has received reports on the receipt of ammunition, equipment and machinery over the past 24 hours and that NASAMS systems ar now on active “combat duty.”

President Zelensky also received a report from senior commanders of the front about military operations in the Kupiansk, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka directions and in the south.

Zelensky said, “Additional NASAMS systems from partners have come on combat duty. Timely strengthening of our air defense for winter.

In the Tavria direction Ukrainian forces obliterated a TOS-1A Solntsepek heavy multiple launch rocket system and two self-propelled howitzers.

The commander of the Tavria Operational Strategic Group of Forces Oleksandr Tarnavsky said, “In the Tavria direction, the enemy carried out three airstrikes, carried out 58 military clashes and carried out 944 artillery shelling.

“Our soldiers and warriors are staunchly holding the defense in the Avdiyivka direction.

“The enemy’s offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Stepove, Avdiyivka, Tonenke, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka and Staromayorske of Donetsk region were unsuccessful, as well as in Chervone, Robotyne and north-west of Verbove, Zaporizhia region.”

Ukrainian forces completed a total of 1,322 fire missions on Tuesday and killed 583 Russian troops.
