Moscow is warning Russian citizens not to travel Western countries including the US as political relations are “on the verge of rupture.”
Officials have claimed that Russians could be “hunted” by Western authorities and travelling to the West is “fraught with risks.”
Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said during a news briefing on Wednesday that Russian citizens could be caught up with “harassment or detention.”
Vladimir Putin’s lapdog said, “Trips to the United States of America privately or out of official necessity are fraught with serious risks,” and relations between the US and Russia is “on the verge of rupture.”
Russian citizens have also been told to avoid Canada and US allies in the EU as they are American “satellites.”
Then she said the US advises against travelling to Russia as they “they may face harassment or detention by Russian security officials” or “arbitrary enforcement of local laws” based on what passport they hold.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman then sobered up and ended the press briefing.
