Israel has warned Lebanon that they will do “whatever is necessary” to achieve their goals to push Hezbollah back from their borders.
The European Union Foreign Affairs chief, Joseph Borrell has warned that the Middle East is on the brink of “full-fledged” war as hundreds of civilians have been killed by Israeli air strikes.
Borrell told the United Nations on Monday, “I can say we are almost in a full-fledged war.
We’re seeing more military strikes, more damage, more collateral damage, more victims.
“Everybody has to put all their capacity to stop this.”
Israel claims that they are “not looking for wars” and their army is in “full readiness” should the conflict break out into full-scale war.
Lebanon is seeing the largest exodus of civilians since 2006 and roads and motorways are in a standstill as thousands attempt to flee to Beirut to escape the “carpet bombing” happening in the south.
Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari claims, “We are not looking for wars. We are looking to take down the threats.
“We will do whatever is necessary to do to achieve this mission.”
Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued an urgent message to Lebanese civilians, he said, “I have a message for the people of Lebanon: Israel’s war is not with you, it is with Hezbollah.
“For too long Hezbollah has been using you as human shields.”
He added, “Now, starting this morning, the IDF has warned you to get out of harm’s way. I urge you – take this warning seriously.
“Once our operation is finished you can come back safely to your homes.”
