i2 Office strengthens City presence

Office provider i2 Office has strengthened its presence in the City by announcing a deal for a third business centre in the area.

The company has taken control of the City site, which boasts 16,000 sq ft in office space located on the first two floors of 40 Gracechurch Street. It is conveniently located within London’s Square Mile, with Monument Tube station less than a minute away.

The offices are also close to Cannon Street, Bank and Mansion House, as well as being less than 10 minutes from London Bridge, Fenchurch Street and Tower Hill. The high quality offices feature executive lounge facilities and enough room to house up to 50 workstations, making it similar to the firm’s Aldersgate business centre.

The offices will be available to let from next month after i2 Office agreed a deal with owners Arab Investments Ltd. The building is a new build and is environmentally friendly with a BREEAM rating. The offices also boast high ceilings with excellent natural light and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Philip Grace, i2 Office chief executive, expects interest in the Gracechurch Street to rival that of its Aldersgate serviced offices, which were 96 per cent full three months after they opened.

He said: “Gracechurch Street will be a welcome addition to our nationwide network and further strengthens our London City offer. We have seen high demand for our other centres in London, most recently with Aldersgate filling up rapidly – we anticipate strong interest in Gracechurch Street.”

Khalid Affara, of Arab Investments, added: “We’re delighted to be working with i2 Office, who are clearly innovators in the serviced office market. Their demonstrable track record and recent success at Aldersgate will I’m sure see high occupancy at 40 Gracechurch Street very quickly. We look forward to working with i2 Office on this and other London locations.”

It would appear that i2 Office has begun the year as strongly as it finished the last. In December, the company opened new serviced offices in Glasgow and also opened a new business centre at Chancery Place in Manchester city centre.

i2 Office has not looked back since launching its first centre in Milton Keynes in 2009. It now boast 10 locations around the country, including offices in Marylebone and Greenwich.
