Hundreds of Russian troops ‘hitchhiked home’ as they feared they would be left for dead

Thousands of Russian troops have been killed in an action with hundreds captured or have surrendered, now there are reports that around 300 troops have “hitchhiked home.”

The Russian troops “hitchhiked home” as they feared they had been left for dead, with many left feeling demoralised, confused with no food and are operating in freezing conditions.

A post on Twitter shows troops from South arriving on the border of Russia. Alik Puhati, a writer from the Ossetia region, said, “Returned soldiers on the border of Russia and South Ossetia.

“They hitchhiked home.”
