We are in for a scorcher of a week, but how do we keep our teams happy, motivated and cool whilst working in the office? Jason Downes the MD of www.powwownow.co.uk has the answer
“It’s really hard to keep motivated when the weather is this good outside, especially in the increased temperatures we’re seeing today and predicted for this week. One of the most important things an employer can do is make the workplace as comfortable and pleasant as possible for staff members.
“A great way to combat office absences would be to offer flexible working both through varied hours and working from home when the temperatures are extreme in order to maintain productivity and efficiency within the workplace.
It’s important to ensure that your employees have enough breaks, so make sure they take their full lunch break to allow for some much needed down time and are drinking enough.
You might also want to consider being flexible on the workplace dress code when temperatures get really high, however make sure your employees know they are still dressing for the office and not the beach. It’s important to maintain a professional appearance too.
