Hacked data may include information on British royal family

There has been a sensitive cyber-attack on a London-based plastic surgeon where the hackers, calling themselves The Dark Overlord, have stolen patient records and photos which they are threatening to release.

Speaking through a representative, the hackers told The Daily Beast how they had recently infiltrated the servers of London Bridge Plastic Surgery (LBPS) — which describes itself as “one of the leading plastic surgery clinics in the UK” — and hacked sensitive data, including information on “some royal families”.

The hack may include information on British royal family as well.

“We have TBs [terabytes] of this s-t. Databases, names, everything. We’re going to pitch it all up for everyone to nab. The entire patient list with corresponding photos. The world has never seen a medical dump of a plastic surgeon to such degree,” the hackers said.

In a statement, LBPS has confirmed the cyber attack and said: “We took measures to block the attack immediately in order to protect patient information and we informed the Metropolitan Police who launched an investigation.”

“Regrettably, following investigations by our IT experts and the police, we believe that our security was breached and that data has been stolen. We are still working to establish exactly what data has been compromised,” they added.

The hackers have also threatened to distribute the stolen images: “We’re going to pitch it all up for everyone to nab. The entire patient list with corresponding photos”.

The hacker group had previously targeted schools, medical centres, and even a production studio linked to Netflix, reports suggest.
