Did you hear about the guy who caused a tizzy on Twitter after getting locked inside Waterstones’ Trafalgar Square branch? Well, that story just got better.

The bookshop has now invited 10 guests in to the store for a sleepover this Friday from 9pm to 9am.

In an advert on Airbnb, Waterstones said: “With Waterstones Piccadilly all to yourself, saunter up and down our beautiful central staircase, from our Ground Floor Bestsellers to our Fourth Floor’s Russian Bookshop, and let your imagination loose. Settle down on the comfy airbeds and sleeping bags provided and drift off surrounded by the fantastical tales, incredible true stories and beautiful books of all shapes and sizes that are packed into the more than eight and a half miles of book shelves.

“That’s not all though – there’s plenty of treats and surprises in store. Food (Grazebox and Weetabix to name a few), entertainment, bedding – we got you covered! The only thing you need to worry about is what to read next. And if someone will let you out in the morning… But that wouldn’t be a problem would it?”

Fancy entering the competition? Here’s what you need to do, according to the advert:

1. Create an Airbnb account
2. Input any dates that are available
3. Click on the ‘Contact host’ link below
4. Tell us in one sentence what book you would read if you were to spend the night in a bookshop, and why.
