A “thunderous” suspected Ukrainian drones destroyed an oil refinery in the Russian town of Shebekino and a “mass missile attack” hit the region of Belgorod.
Russian officials said the “missile attack” happened at around 3am on Wednesday morning and no one was injured.
The Afipsky refinery is situated near to the Black Sea which has been attacked quite a few times this month and in the town of Shebekino officials said that “private houses” and cars “burned.”
The Belgorod regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said that they have now started “evacuating children” from the town.
Gladkov said, “This is not a good morning at all. At 3:15am there was a mass missile attack on Shebekino [town].

“There is a lot of damage in blocks of flats, private houses, [and] many private cars burned.”
He added, “Thank God no one was killed. We are starting repair works today. The task is huge.
“We will try to complete it as soon as we can. Starting from today we are evacuating children from Shebekinsky and Graivoronsky districts.
“Today the first 300 children will be sent to Voronezh.”

This strike comes the day after Moscow was hit in a drone attack and a Russian MP said that it was the most dangerous attack since the Second World War.
Vladimir Putin said in response to the attack on Tuesday, “We have spoken about hitting command centres (in Ukraine).
“In response, the Kyiv regime has chosen a different path, the path of trying to frighten Russia, frighten the citizens of Russia and of strikes on residential buildings.

Russia’s foreign ministry said, “Western support for the Kyiv regime is pushing the Ukrainian leadership towards increasingly reckless acts, including terrorism.
The ministry added the attacks on Moscow was aimed at “spreading panic among civilians.”
