Tesla’s head of global security Jeff Jones has been dismissed within 11 months of taking over the job, according to an exclusive by CNBC.
The company has told employees that Jones’ position was “no longer needed” and that he departed in mid-November, according to company sources.
Jones had reported directly to Tesla’s former head Elon Musk.
Earlier this month, Musk was forced to give up his role as Tesla’s chairman amid claims of fraud brought by US financial regulators. Tesla has since named an Australian executive as his replacement.
