Hundreds of tourists are being tested for coronavirus at a popular Tenerife resort, Adeje after a person tested positive for the virus.
Health officials are at the resort, which is popular British holidaymakers testing hundreds of tourists, according to Spain’s El Pais newspaper.
H10 Costa Adeje Palace in Tenerife issued a notice to their customers.
“Dear guests,
“We regret to inform you that for health reasons, the hotel has been closed down. Until the sanitary authorities warn, you must remain in your rooms.”
An Italian tourist became unwell and was admitted to hospital on the Island and was later tested positive for coronavirus.
According to the local newspaper El Dia, the patient had a fever for six days, he saw a Dr at the resort in Adeje then the man was taken to University Hospital Nuestra Senora de Candelaria.
