Qatar Airways reports $1.9bn in revenue losses

Qatar Airways has reported revenue losses of $1.9bn this last year after taking a hit from the global pandemic.

Qatar Airways which is state owned also said the impact of its liquidation of share in Air Italy, and new accounting rules added to the losses over past year.

Qatar Airways chief executive Akbar al-Baker said in a statement, “If not for the exceptional circumstances of fiscal year 2020, our results would have been better than the year before.”
