The North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) has sufficient resources not only to support Israel, but also to provide military support to Ukraine.

NATO has said that they will support Israel, but in a way it does not cause “escalation” and divide public opinion.

NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoana said in an interview with Digi 24,”I think we have enough resources.

“In our Alliance there are 32 countries, including Sweden, I guess, more than 1 billion people live and more than 50% of the world’s GDP. There are resources for … what we must do in support of Ukraine.”

He said that NATO does have “concrete defense plans” and the Alliance has identified two direct threats: “Russia and terrorism.”

He added, “We will have to close ranks again, support Israel, but in a way that avoids escalation and inflaming public opinion, and I am confident that we can do this calmly and patiently.”

The US President Joe Biden has also said that the success for Israel and Ukraine is vital for America’s national security.

President Biden said, “I know these conflicts can seem far away. It’s natural to ask: Why does this matter to America?

“Israel and Ukraine’s success is vital to our national security.”

He added, “History has taught us that when terrorists and dictators don’t pay a price, they cause more death and destruction.”
