Military experts are warning conflict is matter of when and as a result NATO are drawing up plans for World War Three with Russia.

A senior German general has confirmed these plans are underway and they are looking to how to deal with a “large scale” number of injured troops.

The head of NATO’s logistic command Lt. General Alexander Sollfrank said they are drawing up plans as to how to effectively deal with hundreds of wounded soldiers when war breaks out between the alliance and Vladimir Putin.

Gen Sollfrank told Reuters in the first week of war with Russia chaos will ensue and an air battle will commence and will have to be “achieved” from the very start.

He warned that the starting phase of the conflict will be a far larger war zone than is currently seen in Ukraine and as a result there will be a large amount of wounded soldiers than they can cope for.

Gen Sollfrank said, “Air superiority will have to be achieved in the first place.

“It will require time to succeed over the entire length and depth of the frontline.

“For planning reasons, all options to take a great number of wounded to medical installations need to be considered, which includes trains but potentially also buses.”

Gen Sollfrank added, “The challenge will be to swiftly ensure high-quality care for, in the worst case, a great number of wounded.
