Luxembourg placed on the quarantine list following a spike in cases

The British government have announced that all travellers from Luxembourg, from midnight on Thursday will now have to quarantine for 14-days.

The mandatory quarantine follows a large spike in coronavirus cases which has seen the same restrictions from holidaymakers returning from Spain.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned that there are strong signs that a second wave of coronavirus is appearing across parts of Europe.

On Thursday morning Health Secretary Matt Hancock told Sky News, that a “second wave is starting to roll across Europe” and is “worried” as “we can see it coming” to the UK.

Hancock warned that a “second wave starting to roll across Europe” and that the UK must “do everything to prevent it reaching these shores.”

“It’s something I worry about and I worry about it because we can see it coming.”
