Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said, “Incoming Prime Minister Rishi Sunak faces a big task on his hands keeping the Conservatives in power, according to odds on Betfair Exchange.

“Labour are 11/8 to win a majority at the next General Election, while the Conservatives are 5/1, having once been odds-on at 8/11.

“Labour leader Keir Starmer has called for a General Election, but he might not get his wish anytime soon, with it 31/1 to take place this year and 14/5 to happen in 2023. The most likely year for a General Election to occur is 2024 or later at 1/3”.
