King's Cross station and Circle and Hammersmith & City line recorded most thefts last year

King’s Cross St Pancras station recorded 283 thefts last year, the highest number of thefts reported at a station.

At number two was Victoria with 268 thefts followed by Oxford Circus which saw 255 thefts.

Figures from British Transport Police have shown that the Circle and Hammersmith & City line is the most notorious for Tube thefts followed by the central and Jubilee line.

Items that thieves tend to target the most are mobile phones, Bags (568), laptops (277) and watches (125).

Unusual items stolen include games consoles (19), prams and wheelchairs (5), toys (5) plants (2) and sadly, a pet.
