Ukrainian intelligence has warned that the Kremlin could be able to buy satellite imagery from US companies to help aid their attacks in Ukraine.

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Agency (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine gave the warning on Thursday evening.

Yusov said that they do have “specific information” to back this and nothing further will be made public for now.

Yusov said, “Yes, there is specific information.

“We will not make it public yet.

“Of course, the enemy does not give up trying in various ways to compensate for the lack of information that it can receive through, in particular, space exploration and other modern means that allow it to receive more information.”

He said that Russia’s intelligence use front companies and agent networks try to purchase imagery for dual-use, who claim it is not for military purposes.

The GUR added, “The enemy has a lot of resources involved in this.

“This requires a serious response from both Ukraine and its partners. Such work is underway.”
