During a renewed offensive against Ukraine, Russia reportedly incurred more than 6,000 casualties—comprising both killed and wounded soldiers—over the span of just four days.
According to Oleksandr Syrski, a high-ranking Ukrainian military official, Russian forces ramped up their attacks between March 17 and March 20.
Despite the intensified offensives, Ukrainian troops demonstrated remarkable resilience, effectively resisting the Russian advances and maintaining their defensive positions.
These significant losses on the Russian side underscore the ongoing intensity and ferocity of the conflict, which has shown little sign of abating.

Kyiv’s forces have proven adept at repelling repeated Russian military assaults, demonstrating their determination and capability in the face of sustained aggression.
Syrski said: “The enemy tried to break through the defensive formations of our troops in several strategic directions at once.
“Fierce battles unfolded along the entire line of combat contact. In total, the enemy conducted 619 assault actions during these four days.”
According to Syrski, “despite immense pressure and significant reserves, the Russian command was unable to fulfil its objectives.
He noted that “high-intensity battles” continue in some areas, but Russia has had to regroup.
The command of the Russian troops threw tens of thousands of soldiers into the ‘meat assaults’, but the price of this attempted offensive turned out to be catastrophic for the aggressor,” Syrski said.
Over four days of intensive assault operations, the enemy lost more than 6,090 soldiers killed and wounded.
The situation remains critical, with both sides engaged in a struggle for dominance amid the chaos of war.
