World Travel Protection and Cover-More Group have joined forces with Air Doctor to offer free online medical consultations, prescriptions and associated medical costs, to the value of £200, to residents of Ukraine forced to flee abroad.

Luke Banks, Regional Chief Medical Officer UK / Europe, at World Travel Protection, a leading travel risk management company, said, “World Travel Protection is committed to assisting Ukrainians who have been displaced from their homes because of the devastating conflict.

“We hope by providing free access to virtual medical consultations and prescription from anywhere at any time, we can alleviate some of the burden associated with navigating access to new healthcare systems.”

Ernesto Suarez, Managing Director of Cover-More Insurance Services Ltd, the UK arm of Cover-More, said, “We are all saddened by the ongoing atrocities in Ukraine.

“By offering Ukrainian refugees access to free online medical consultations and prescriptions, we hope to ease a little of their plight. We are engaging with local community groups to help get the word out about this.”

Jenny Cohen Derfler, CEO of Air Doctor added, “Air Doctor’s mission is to help people around the world when they need quality medical treatment. One of our employees asked if we could help her father, who was very sick in Kyiv and unable to leave his house.

“We suggested a telemedicine session with one of our doctors and she translated the meeting. This situation sparked the idea of using our telemedicine infrastructure to offer free telemedicine consultations to Ukrainian residents and refugees. We continue to fulfil our mission by helping those in desperate need of help.”

To book a free Air Doctor consultation, patients are asked to visit https://www.air-dr.com, where full instructions and contact details are provided, in both English and Ukrainian.
