Franco Manca identifies 150 sites for potential new restaurants

Fulham Shore who own Franco Manca restaurant chain are eyeing up 150 new possible sites which has sent shares ticking higher.

Franco Manca owner said that all 74 sites are now open, which includes 19 Real Greek and 55 Franco Manca restaurants.

David Page, executive chairman of the group said, โ€œSince the beginning of the current financial year commencing March 29, the group has continued to trade profitably and ahead of management expectations, driven by strong performances across our suburban restaurants.

โ€œFrom July 2021 all restaurants have been open and operating without restrictions, welcoming increasing numbers of customers as the UKโ€™s vaccination programme progresses.

โ€œMomentum has also been maintained across our takeaway and delivery channels, which continue to outperform 2019 levels.โ€

The company revealed that in the year to 28 March, they had a decrease in revenues by 41.3% to ยฃ40.3m as a result of closures during the lockdown periods.

In the year operating loss fell yo ยฃ4.8m compared to the previous year which saw ยฃ1.8m profit.
