Farage crisis deepens as Reform chief’s exit odds slashed after donation scandal

Nigel Farage is facing mounting pressure over an alleged foreign donations scandal, with two senior Reform UK officials stepping down and bookmakers dramatically shortening the odds on his departure as party leader.

New findings from an undercover investigation led by Verbatism have alleged illegal foreign donations to the party, intensifying scrutiny of Reform’s finances and leadership.

The scandal has also prompted a sharp shift in betting markets. The odds on Mr Farage leaving the Reform leadership before the end of 2026 have been cut from 3/1 to 6/4.

According to betting figures, 79 per cent of wagers placed over the past 24 hours have backed the prospect of Mr Farage’s leadership ending before the year is out.

The developments represent a significant reversal for a politician who has built Reform around his personal appeal and whose leadership has been central to the party’s electoral rise.
