Brazilian President tests positive for Covid-19 after meeting with President Trump

The Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro has tested positive for coronavirus days after meeting President Donald Trump.

The two Presidents met earlier this week and attended a joint press conference at the White House, where they both shook hands.

Hours after the meeting at the White House the Brazilian press secretary Fabio Wajngarten also tested positive for coronavirus.

Trump was in close proximity with Bolsonaro and Wajngarten, CNN has reported.

Wajngarten attended a dinner hosted by Trump as the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

President Trump’s top doctor, Anthony Fauci and other experts warns coronavirus is ten times more lethal than seasonal flu and “many, many millions” will be infected across America.

Dr Fauci, the director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said at congressional hearing on the outbreak, the “bottom line, its going to get worse.”

“If we are complacent and don’t do really aggressive containment and mitigation, the number could go way up and be involved in many, many millions. If we contain we could flatten it.”

American and Chinese scientist have given a grim warning saying, the true number of cases in the US are far higher than the confirmed 1,056 cases.

The scientists from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and Peking University in Beijing released a report warning that eight confirmed coronavirus cases left Wuhan, China to the US before January.
