The Prime Minister has hit out at anti-vaxxers for spreading “complete nonsense about vaccinations” and said they are “completely wrong.”

Boris Johnson said he wants to stick to a “voluntary approach” for people to get vaccinated as some European countries are “going for coercion.”

Johnson said that 30 to 40% of those who have been hospitalised have not been vaccinated and then “you’ve got people out there spouting complete nonsense about vaccination.”HS amid the Omicron variant.

The Prime Minister added, “They are totally wrong and I think it is time that I, the government, call them out on what they are doing.

“It is absolutely wrong, it is totally counterproductive, and the stuff they’re putting out on social media is completely mumbo jumbo.”

Johnson is urging everyone to get vaccinated and he said, “The saddest words in the English language are ‘too late.’

“When you’re in ICU and you haven’t been vaccinated, sadly it’s too late to get vaccinated, so get boosted now.”
