It has been reported that the Prime Minister is set to announce that the minimum wage will rise to £9.42 from £8.91 which will be the biggest annual increase since the financial crash.

This announcement is to happen “within weeks” and the rise means annual salary for a person on the “national minimum wage” for over 23-year olds will rise by 5.7%.

Boris Johnson is expected to say, “After decades of drift and dither, this reforming government, this can-do government that got Brexit done, is getting the vaccine rollout done and is going to get social care done.”
