Department store Beales has collapsed into administration after failing to secure a sale placing more than 1,000 jobs at risk.
Beales is one of the UKs oldest department stores which began trading in 1881 in Bournemouth.
Beales reported a £3.1m loss in the year to March 2019 up from the £1.3m the previous year as costs soared and sales slumped.
KPMG has been appointed as administrators by Beales.
