iFans can get their hands on the iPad 5 as early as 22 October, tech blog Current Editorials has reported.
Apple is widely reported to be launching a 64-bit 13-inch iPad to take on Microsoft’s new Surface 2 tablet.
The new tablets are expected to go on sale on 1 November.
Last week, online tech TV channel Unbox Therapy got its hands on a “space grey” and silver version of the iPad 5 which comes with a black front bezel.
Also rumour has it that a larger model of the iPad, with a “widescreen aspect ratio” that will improve video quality, is also on the cards.
Tech analysts estimate that the iPad 5 will be priced in the same bracket as the current iPad. The16GB-128GB iPads with Wi-Fi only are expected to cost between £399-£639. iPads with Wi-Fi + 4G for the same storage band could be bought for £499-£739.
Apple is also expected to launch a new line of Mac computers on 22 October.
