Water companies are wanting to increase bills across England and Wales per annum by 2029 to 2030, Ofwat figures show.
Thames Water is looking for a 53% or £667 hike every year and Southern Water wants an eyewatering 84% increase and Affinity Water is only seeking a 6% rise.
Water firms are seeking a 40% increase on average which will cost customers around £615 a year by 2030, compared to the average bill of £439 per annum.
Thames Water which is the largest water company in the UK has said they need a 59% increase to bills otherwise they will not be able to operated as normal.
