US and Taliban sign deal to end 18-year Afghan war

The US government and the Taliban have signed an agreement to end 18-years of war in Afghanistan.

If the Taliban uphold the deal then the US and NATO will pull out of Afghanistan within 14 months.

Mike Pompeo the US secretary of state met Taliban leaders in Doha Qatar to sign the historic agreement.

The agreement says that militants will stop attacks and not allow Al-Qaeda to operate in any areas that are controlled by the Taliban.
