Ukraine’s incursion in the Kursk region has cause “significant damage to Vladimir Putin’s prestige” as Kyiv makes more territorial gains.
Russian’s who live in the Kursk region feel abandoned by Putin and the invasion has now “sown doubt inside Russia” over the leaderships capabilities to keep the mainland safe including their citizens.
Putin is showing he does not have the so called iron grip and the surprise invasion of Russia has weakened the Kremlin and Putin’s “narrative” as he has failed as the President of the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian forces now have control of 1,293 square kilometres or 500 square miles and are in 93 villages.

The British Defence Secretary told the Telegraph that there will be growing pressure internally with Kremlin officials.
John Healey told the newspaper, “Ukraine’s defensive operation in Kursk is a reminder to all Ukraine’s supporters that wars can shift at short notice, and continued military support for Ukraine remains as crucial as ever.
“It has sown doubt inside Russia, exposing Putin’s Kremlin cabal to the consequences of their aggression.”
He added: “Putin’s complaints that Ukraine’s offensive is a ‘provocation’ are akin to a playground bully protesting because his smaller victim has had the temerity to fight back.
“Ukraine has the right to defend itself against Russia’s illegal attacks, including the option to carry out incursions within Russia, as long as they are compliant with international law. And we can be proud that British weapons are helping Ukraine protect itself and push back Putin’s forces. Russia can have no objections.”
The EU’s top diplomat Josep Borrell warned this week that Putin has been hit with a “severe blow” following Ukraine’s incursion into the Kursk region.
Borrell wrote on X that Ukraine’s invasion is “a severe blow to Russian President Putin’s narrative.”
He then said the West should be “lifting restrictions on the use of capabilities vs the Russian military involved in aggression against Ukraine, in accordance with international law.”
Borrell said that this would then “strengthen Ukrainian self-defence by ending Russia’s sanctuary for its attacks,” this will save lives and stop Moscow dead in their tracks.
The Russian ambassador to the US has said on Friday Putin has “made a decision” on how to respond to Ukraine’s incursion in the Kursk region.”I am firmly convinced that everyone will be severely punished for what has happened in Kursk region.”
Anatoly Antonov warned, “I tell you sincerely that the president has made a decision.
