The British Prime Minister is looking at plans to send British troops to Ukraine for up to five years, as military planners in the UK and France believe this would discourage Vladimir Putin from launching future offensives, the Telegraph reported.

Sending allied troops as part of a multinational “Coalition of the Willing” which is led by London and Paris that could see allied troops being deployed to Ukraine to train Kyiv’s armed forces and help to provide stability should Putin agree to a full ceasefire.

In total 37 countries have held discussion with Sir Keir Starmer and the French President Emmanuel Macron, currently 15 nations have said they will deploy troops.

The Royal Air Force could send fighter jets and warplanes to help reinforce Ukraine’s defences to form a sky shield.

The US President has not offered any troops or any security guarantees, but instead Donald Trump is preparing to pull out tens of thousands of troops and equipment.
