Starbucks have announced that they are planning to open more than 100 new coffee shops across the UK as they are aiming to invest £30 million and will also refurbish existing sites and will also focus on drive through sites.
Across Europe, the Middle Est and Africa Starbucks will open 300 new sites across their business.
The company added that they have been “very encouraged by the performance” of their franchise stores and revenues in the UK surged by 37% to £449.3 million in the year as they recovered from the Covid pandemic.
In the previous year operating profits slipped to £12.6 million from £16.5 million amid investment in staff pay and inflation.
Duncan Moir, president of Starbucks Europe, Middle East and Africa, said, “We have had a very strong year of revenue growth in the UK and EMEA and I’m pleased to report that we have exceeded our pre-pandemic revenue levels.
“This is all thanks to the hard work of our fantastic team of partners who are dedicated to delivering a positive experience for every customer.”
