Rishi Sunak issues a stark warning to Russian Foreign Secretary at G20 Bali summit and blasts Putin over the war

The British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak gave the Russian Foreign Secretary a warning over the war in Ukraine at the G20 Bali summit.

Sunak said during his speech at the G20 in the plenary hall and told Sergie Lavrov  to “end this barabaric war,” and told him that it is “illegal” and “unacceptable.”

Sunak slammed Vladimir Putin in his speech in front of Lavrov for shunning the G20 summit and said, “Maybe if he had, we could get on with sorting things out.”

In front of the Russian Foreign Secretary Sunak then praised Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for his “incredible fortitude” and the Prime Minister vowed to “back Ukraine for as long as it takes.”

In a draft statement seen by the Associated Press leaders of the G20 openly condemned Russia’s war with Ukraine.

The statement said, the G20 leaders “deplores in the strongest terms the aggression by the Russian Federation” and “demands its complete and unconditional withdrawal from the territory of Ukraine.”
