The UK are set to send the “world’s fastest surface-to-air missiles” to help Ukraine “better defend its skies”
The missiles travel at over three times the speed of sounds before spitting into three darts.
Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said: “This system will remain within the definition of defensive weapons but will allow the Ukrainian forces to better defend their skies.”
US vice president Kamala Harris said American missile systems have been placed in Poland and said America is prepared to defend “every inch” of NATO territory.
Speaking in Warsaw after meeting with the Polish president Andrzej Duda she confirmed the US are to send Patriot missiles which are surface-to-air missiles used by the US Armed Forces to target enemy projectiles.
