Vladimir Putin is stalling with the peace talks to steal more territory in an attempt to strengthen his position for ceasefire talks with the US President and his team.
Citing undisclosed sources, the Moscow Times reported Moscow is wanting to strengthen their position with Washington and time is now on Russia’s side as the Kremlin want to “make the most of it,” a Russian diplomat told the media outlet.
The Russian official said the Kremlin is hoping Donald Trump will either allow Russian offensives, which he seems happy with or to place even further pressure on Kyiv to withdraw in part from the occupied regions of Ukraine.
Pro-state media outlet Kommersant reported, that today a new round of ceasefire talks started in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said, the talks “should not be expected to produce a breakthrough,” adding that work is going on in “several directions.”

The Kremlin has said the ceasefire talks in Saudi Arabia is the start and there will be “difficult negotiations” ahead.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, “We are only at the beginning of this path,” as there is many “questions” and “nuances” as to how any potential ceasefire could be reached.
He said that the talks in Saudia today are “mainly intend to discuss President Putin’s agreement to resume the so-called Black Sea initiative, and our negotiators will be ready to discuss the nuances around this problem.”
The Telegraph reported on Sunday that the US President is allegedly growing more and more angry that both Kyiv and Moscow are still launching missiles and drones, despite his attempts to bring peace.
Putin has agreed to a partial or a limited ceasefire, this means nothing as he is still attacking all areas of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agreed to a ceasefire, but Putin continued to attack Ukraine.
White House officials who are “closest to the President” have stated they are trying to keep things calm and they are recommending patience with the ceasefire talks, Putin continues to attack Ukraine.
