The trouble for Patisserie Valerie does not seem to end. It has now been revealed that its finance chief Chris Marsh was arrested last night and then released on bail.
The company said in a brief statement to the stock exchange this morning that it “has been made aware that Chris Marsh, who is currently suspended from his role as company Finance Director, was arrested by the police last night and has been released on bail”.
The crisis-hit chain is fighting for survival after uncovering a “significant, and potentially fraudulent, accounting irregularities”.
