Yahoo chief Scott Thompson resigned from the tech giant partly because he’s been diagnosed with thyroid cancer, The Wall Street Journal has reported.
Earlier this month, Thompson was accused of lying on his CV by claiming he was a computer science graduate.
Thompson stepped down on Sunday and Ross Levinsohn, a senior Yahoo executive, became interim CEO and Fred Amoroso, a Yahoo board member, was named chairman.
