Chancellor Rishis Sunak’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme has launched today which offer half price mid-week meals.

The scheme launched by Sunak will help boost the hospitality sector which has been decimated by the pandemic. During August, the scheme allows a person a maximum saving of £10 per person for meals at over 72,000 venues in England.

During the Chancellors summer statement, Sunak told MPs, “To get customers back into restaurants, cafes and pubs, and protect the 1.8m people who work in them, I can announce today that, for the month of August, we will give everyone in the country an Eat Out to Help Out discount.”

The government’s scheme will include all food only at participating venues and does not include alcohol.
